Another Sharing Day! Wonderful Projects!

OK these bibs just make me smile.  These were created by Alissa Forman of Canada.   How fun are these ties!  We thought you would enjoy them! (I think I am going to use a lot of exclamation marks in this blog)  Thank you Alissa for sharing these with us.  These fabrics are a combination of Riley Blake Designs All Star 2 Collection,  Apple of My Eye, and Robert Kaufman's Remix Dots.
This adorable quilt was created by Margaret Cureton.  Click on the picture to see the cute butterflies, birds, flowers, and trees.  This Riley Blake Happier Collecton by Deena Rutter was another great seller.  We love how the squares show off the cute prints.  The pop of orange and aqua blue really make this a cheerful quilt.  Thank you Margaret!  We love it!
Katy J from the Knackatorium created this gorgeous quilt from one of our Art Gallery Modernology Blue Bundls.  She also added some additional fabrics.  We are loving these blues!  This vintage modern quilt looks so soft - I am thinking this quilt and a good book on a crisp summer evening - Perfect!  Link to Katy's shop click here
This sweet, fresh bunting came from Kelly Bennett from Australia.  Thank you Kelly for sharing this with us.  This was made with the Flora Collection.  Kelly has a shop on Etsy named Colour Therapy.  Click here for link.  We love this Flora Collection designed by Lauren & Jessi Jung for Moda.  We have some charm packs left in our shop.

Wow!  An entire bedding collection.  This beautiful collection was designed by Caralee Sanders of Once Upon a Childhood.  We love these fun puffy quilts.  Look at the fun owl pillow with the cording trim.  And the diaper stacker - so so nice.  Caralee has an Etsy shop and there are many more bedding ensembles to choose from.  Click here to see more  You really want to see her shop.  Thank you Caralee!  These fabrics are from the Urban Zoologie Collection.
Have you seen the fun soft play toys and quilts with the tabs for babies to grab on to? This quilt was designed by Kayla Webb.  We love the fun bright colors.  This collection is from Robert Kaufman's Ready Set Go collection by Ann Kelle.  What a fun quilt!  Thank you Kayla for sharing!
Ashley Pettibone of Sparrow Designs made this metal frame clutch from the popular Echo Ruta Fabric in navy designed by Lotta Jansdotter.   Wouldn't you love one of these for summer?  I've visited Ashley's shop and these versatile clutches all have high quality metal frames.  She will even make custom orders for you. Thank you Ashley for sharing this with us!  Love it!  Link to Sparrow Designs click here

Amy from Connecticut just finished this beautiful tradtional quilt combining reproduction fabrics from the 1862 Battle Hymn Collection designed by Barbara Brackman for Moda and Put Your Heart In It Traditional Fabrics from Buggy Barn.  The pattern is from "The Civil War Sewing Circle" Book. Amy added her own borders and corner squares to give it more "umph".  The design of small squares and large lets the eye travel easily across the quilt and blends the colors together nicely.  Fabulous color placement Amy - we love the pop of coral and red!  We now have  a nice collection of traditional prints to choose from.  Thank you Amy!  We love this quilt!
A Perfect Star!  Elena of CarolinaSquirrel designs fun mini quilts made from ...yes you guessed it....SELVAGES.  And you always threw those away!  She has several other quilts in her shop to choose from but my favorites are all the fun projects she has from selvages.  Really really creative.  You need to see the leaf table runner in her Etsy shop. Thanks so much Elena for sharing this star with us.  None of these customers have asked me to promote their shops....I just can't help it since I love their projects.  click here for link to carolinasquirrell

This one is also on my "to do" list.  I just love this triangle design.  I can see this done with other fabrics for a boys quilt...don't you think?  Hopscotch was also designed by Camille Roskelly.  Did you go to her blog link above and see this quilt?  Notice the grey polka dot as the background fabric.  Love this!

Grey is In!  This quilt was designed by in house machine quilter Leisha Farnsworth.  We almost sold out of the kits before we even had time to list them.  This pattern is the easy Disappearing Nine Patch. Just sew 9 squares together, cut down the middle, rotate the blocks, and sew them back together.  Just google disappearing nine patch and you will find free tutorials and videos.
Leisha selected fun swirls and bright teals from our Adornit and Scribble Collections for this quilt.  We only have two kits left.  Contact us at sistersandquilters@gmail.com if you are interested in a kit. You will receive 5" squares cut for you and border and binding fabric.  You can also make this quilt with any of our charm packs.  It takes 108 squares.
A perfect 4th of July Quilt!  This Charming Stars Quilt was a pattern from Moda Bake Shop designed by Stefanie Roman. We love this gorgeous pattern and thought it would be perfect a summer 4th of July quilt. Plus, it is out of charm squares!  This pattern sews up quickly and it is fairly easy to make. Only corner square seams to match.  We have made this quilt using the Prairie Paisley Charm Squares. You may also select Reunion, Friendship, or 1862 Battle Hymn Charm packs in your kit. Just send us a convo and we can set it up for you.
I love how the stars seem to sparkle.  If you squint they seem to run together.
I put Minky on the back of this quilt and it is already a favorite with my adult guys!  They love the softness.  We just sold out of the Ivory Minky but we are getting more for you!  These are selling fast...order yours soon.

Before I post some of our other new fabric lines, I wanted to share with you some creative projects from one our customers, Pascale Racette.  Check this tent out!  Lucky kids!  Well I assume it is for her children or grandchildren.  These fabrics were from Riley Blake Design's Pirate Collection
And here is a close up of the flag.  I have a son who loved pirates and he would have LIVED in this tent.
This quilt was made with Ten Little Things Charm Packs.  You could use several of these fabrics in an I Spy quilt.

Spring Snowballs and Hearts? Yes! with more Zoologies....

Yes, that is correct.  We love our customer sharing days!  Send us your pictures.
Elizabeth Strong is early for next Valentine's Day  ;).  She used the Always & Forever fabrics to create this bright, fun, and beautiful table setting of place-mats and table runner.  Elizabeth - we love your colors and especially the large hearts and pieced borders.  Place-mats are so handy. My family would love these!  Thanks Elizabeth for sharing.  And congrats on being early for next year....the rest of us are way behind you!  Time to finish those holiday UFO's.

Urban Zoologies need to be buried in somebodies time capsule.  They are always popping up in cute projects.  Brittany Wheeler created these Boutique Diaper Wipe Cases.  So adorable! We love the trim around the edge. You can find these for sale at Crafty Mom Boutique on Etsy.  Click Here for link

So, Leisha and I were talking about creating fun blocks out of basic blocks.  This is the snowball block.  Essentially you sew a smaller square to each of a larger square's corners creating an octagon shape.  You see this block in several quilts.  We were talking about how if you join them together you could make a flower.....Walaaaa...and Leisha did.  Notice that the center square is different than the background fabric and that forms the center of the flower.  Leisha used her red, pink, and green scraps left over from another quilt.  She only had to buy butterfly fabric for the backing.  Smart girl!  This would be a great stash buster!
Of course I am giving you close ups so that you can see her beautiful quilting.    See how there are 4 snowballs to each flower?

I chose to make a star flower using a similar method.  Here is the link to the pattern for purchase:  Click Here for Pattern

Below is a better close up so that you can see the four squares together make the star flower.   I really like this line of fabrics.  I wanted to show off the animal toss print so I alternated the snow ball foursome with a plain block.
I am including this photo which was taken before Leisha worked her quilting magic.  What a difference the quilting can make huh?  Thank you Leisha!  You made my quilt ten times better.
Below is the Emma Collection.  Such a sweet and cheerful collection.  I love all of these fabrics, but I have to say that Strudel Raspberry wins just because of the fun name.  Of course Strudel Mint (bottom) has to be a close second.

Happy Sewing this weekend!

Introducing Summerlove....perfect for skirts and dresses!

You will love the newest collection Summerlove.  Sandra has bundled them into two beautiful collections.  Teal and Pink. I think the Teal Bundle would be perfect for a strip skirt.  What do you think?  I love the goldenrod colors with the teals.
Pictured above from top to bottom is Passionate Spirit in Peach, Oval Elements Vintage Blue, Daydreaming in Ocean, Malibu Sun, Sweet Days Mist, Tokens of Love in Aqua, and at the bottom is Passionate Spirit in Teal.
Pictured above is  Naivety Berry, FreeSpirit Yellow Houndstooth, Daydreaming in Sunshine, Oval Elements in Mist, Malibu Kiss, Beyond Bliss in Ginger, and last but not least is Retro Harmony.
We have sold several of theses bundles all ready! They won't last long.

Look at this cute dress Monique Thomas made. We love the fabrics she selected. The main dress print is from Art Gallery's Paradise Collection. It is called Morning Showers. The Art Gallery fabrics are a nice weave and they drape beautifully for dresses and skirts - much nicer than regular cotton quilting fabrics. Thanks for sharing this Monique!
